Another weekend of Premier League, Bundesliga, LaLiga, Serie A, and Ligue 1 action is here, and it could not be more exciting. With the Bundesliga starting this weekend, it means the 2026/2025 season is now officially underway.
This weekend’s slate of matches is exciting, and it starts on Friday with action across all five big leagues. As usual, we will select our best picks from all the games and show you how you can bet on them at Housebets.
Remember, Housebets remains the home of football betting this new season. To place your bets on this weekend's football games, log in to your account (or create one if you don't already have one), deposit your preferred cryptocurrency, then go to the sports section to bet on these games and our picks.
With that said, here are our picks for this weekend.

Our Pick: Man City win or Over 2.5 goals
Crystal Palace will be looking for their first win of the new Premier League season when they start their home campaign with a clash against Manchester City on Friday night at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles, under new boss Pierre Sage, got off to a disappointing start, suffering a 2-0 defeat at Everton in their opener. The defeat was indeed a reality check for Sage, who has been brought in to fill Oliver Glasner's shoes after the Austrian left the club to join Nottingham Forest.
Sage would definitely have known about the difficulty of the Premier League before coming in. Still, that defeat at Everton would have opened his eyes to the magnitude of the challenge before him.
Nonetheless, Sage has an opportunity to make an early statement as Palace welcome one of the title favourites for their first home game of the season. City started their campaign with a 2-1 win over Bournemouth, but it was not a convincing performance from the Cityzens.
Like Palace, City also has a new manager in place, with Enzo Maresca coming in after ten years under Pep Guardiola. Although Maresca would be pleased with the win, he would also admit that the team’s performance needs to improve if they are to challenge Arsenal for the title.
Maresca is already aware that there will have to be additions, which explains why City brought in Ayyoub Bouaddi as a potential Rodri replacement. Having said that, the Cityzens will feel confident in their chances of beating the Eagles, having won six of their last ten meetings.
Maresca’s men are priced at 1.65 to win, according to Housebets odds, which is also what we fancy. However, considering the Eagles may want to make it an open game, we also fancy over 2.5 goals at 1.64.
Our Pick: AC Milan win
AC Milan started their new reign under Ruben Amorim with a 2-1 win over Torino at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. There were concerns surrounding Milan after a disappointing pre-season, but the win against Torino would have allayed some of those concerns.
The Rossoneri will now be looking to back up that win with another victory over Venezia at San Siro on Friday night. While this should be a straightforward victory for the home side, Milan are also famous for dropping points in games they are expected to win, like the loss to Cagliari on the last day of last season, which cost them a place in this season’s Champions League.
However, having said that, Amorim’s men will still be confident of grabbing a routine win at home against a Venezia side that lost at home to Lecce in their first game on their return to the league.
Giovanni Stroppa’s men will now be looking to cause an upset when they travel to San Siro this weekend. The omen does not look good for them, though, having lost their four league games against Milan.
In fairness, this looks like a straightforward Milan win, which is priced at 1.36 according to odds from Housebets.

Our Pick: Bayern Munich and over 2.5 goals
Bayern Munich open their title defence with a home clash against Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena on Friday night. The Bavarian giants won the league comfortably last season and are heavily favoured to win it all again this year.
Vincent Kompany’s men already sent a warning to the rest of the league last weekend after beating Borussia Dortmund to win the German Super Cup. With that out of the way, it is now time for them to turn their attention to the real deal.
To be honest, Bayern are actually no match for any team in the league, but Stuttgart will still want to give it a go. One thing that will give Stuttgart confidence going into this clash is that they know Bayern are vulnerable in defence, having conceded in 19 of their last 26 games.
Sebastian Hoeness’ men will definitely feel they can add to that stat, as they were the second-highest scorers in the league last season behind Bayern. The only issue, though, is that they have won only one of their last seven away league games and have lost their last six matches against Bayern in all competitions.
The odds also do not favour Die Roten, with Housebets pricing them at 9.20 to get a rare win against Bayern. Kompany’s men, meanwhile, are priced at 1.25 to get a routine win, which is what should happen. In addition, we also think there will be goals in this one, which is why we are also backing over 2.5 goals at 1.20.
Our Pick: Over 2.5 goals
Lille host Paris Saint-Germain in a huge Ligue 1 clash on Friday night at Stade Pierre-Mauroy, with the hosts looking to maintain a 100% record. Les Dogues started their campaign with a 2-0 win over Angers in what was Davide Ancelotti’s first game in charge.
The son of Carlo Ancelotti could not have hoped for a better start, but he faces the biggest challenge of the season in just his second match as his players face PSG.
Lille have won their last four home league openers and will be looking to make it five when the Champions come into town. However, they are also winless in their last Ligue 1 home games, which will give PSG confidence going into the game.
Luis Enrique’s men started their campaign with a 2-2 draw, but they are still the overwhelming favourites to win the league. PSG are known to be slow starters, but will still be eager to get the three points on Friday night to avoid playing catch-up.
The Parisians were the last team to beat Lille in an opening league game at Stade Pierre-Mauroy, thrashing the side 7-1 in 2022. They are also unbeaten in their last 11 games against Lille, scoring three or more goals in six of those games. PSG are favoured at 1.72 odds to win this clash, but we are going for over 2.5 goals at 1.69.
Our Pick: Villarreal 0.5 goals
Alavés return to Estadio de Mendizorroza, where they will hope to make it two wins out of three league games. The Blue and Whites finished 14th last season, but they have started strongly this season, beating Getafe 3-0 in their opener before playing a 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano last week.
Quique Sanchez Flores' men will now be looking to keep the unbeaten run going as they take on a side they have a positive head-to-head record against, having won 16 of the 34 games between them.
Villarreal, meanwhile, are still looking for their first win of the season, although they are also unbeaten. The Yellow Submarines started their campaign with a 2-2 draw against Racing Santander before playing the same scoreline against Atlético Madrid last Sunday.
However, while they are still unbeaten, Villarreal need to start winning, especially if they want to replicate last season’s feat, which saw them finish third in the league.
With that said, Estadio de Mendizorroza has not been a happy hunting ground for Villarreal in recent years, with their last win coming in 2020. Nonetheless, we still fancy the Yellow Submarines to score at least a goal, which is priced at 1.21.
